Fixing The Problem

 After the last few years,

I thought I was going crazy, it made me so upset about being run around by a bot. I have figured out how. To move on for this and free our minds again. People that want stay away from this sucking our lives away.

First thing to do, Is to make a promos to stop being controlled by FB,FBMP,E-lame and offerup sales page’s. You can buy from all of them but can’t with all cause SELL on them. You can post on your favorite pages, but can’t brag about you buying on these page or talk about that activity at all not ever never. Talk positive on these page and let it loose about others post brag about how great stuff is.

If we separate from all our sale’s  from these pages. We will finally be free and not be controlled by AI or other entities, so that we will be able to sell and trade together as we feel free to do

How to avoid scams and overfeed charges. Best thing to do is if you buy on E-lame you know you will have to over pay. Nothing you can do to stop it. But when doing side sale’s. Avoid using PayPal to pay or you will keep paying a fee every time. This means do it the old school way mail check or Zelle money. High dollar stiff cashiers check only. Shipping we all know shipping is a must and we all have to pay for it best way is to be fair on shipping cost. International, check with the post office. First before shipping out. Make your package as small as possible. Add tracking to you seller as soon as possible. Trades, trader that want the item ship’s to the tradie then the tradie ships on the same day make sure you have clear pictures on the agreement. Show puff of tracking right of way.

Add Trak's Grennett Trucks

Years of selling a short version of the old 70's Pro truck design, we did three years ago.
Wanted to design a longer axle version back in the 70's we called them Add trak's
So I have done three different style hangers and truck designs to prove a point about skateboard truck design. All the old designs will work in today's market but the amount of work to do this takes lots of time & money. So I have done a few to test out for myself. Having the adjustable axle is just great for changing up or down, on the wheel spacing wider or narrower wheelbase

.

USPS & The US GOV

USPS & The US GOV

After years & years, we have had to stop international shipping, after the prices have been driven up, up to outrageous prices, that almost no one can or can't afford to ship at all. We have tried to keep the cost down but it's has hit us, why too many times and it's the same problems. We are seeing who is stoping small biz from making it here in the USA. After 80 years, we are seeing the pullback from the military to the Overspending Nation Det, all this has shown how deep we are in the rabbit hole, We are doing an alright BIG BAN on Big BIZ CO's. like Amazon, Zumiez, Zepo's, Alibaba, and even more, only supporting foreign interest. Not for the people of the free world, we need to stop. Please help support local biz here, made in the USA. After finding out what is really impacting the effects on the people here. We all just want to be able to ship without all this lack of understanding of the real reason why. After seeing why this is not only terrible for the country but for all small biz here. I have posted this on Facebook but, you know who is in control over there and the original post has been taken down because that is how Facebook is. Privatizing a GOV facility like USPS is going to not open up more competition but destroying more of our personal freedoms,
not like this is what has been happing for the last four years,
THE INTERNET & GOV controls.
This time China is also starting to reel us back in but this time,
I would have to say
NO, TO ALL OF THAT, YOU HAVE DONE ENOUGH, S#CK IT !!!!

Stage Two, First thing first, please watch The FAMILY, if you want to understand what is really going on in this new world that we are in. Now our shitty Pre'z has taken away most of the budget for the USPS just to stop the flood of mail-in votes form this CO-vid situation and who has been helping for the last four years? FEDX shocking what is going to happen next, well if I was going to call the shot's total shot down on USPS is just like all the rest of the shutdowns that have already happened. It started with the FBI, EPA, CDC, now the USPS. The Republican party is going down in Flames and they know it. The Christion that says that we are all about peace, is really now all about any of that, they have opened up a huge
CAN OF WORMS and can't close the lid on this anymore. WHAT AN OUTRAGER. If this is going to happen, we are going to Brown, UPS and our shipping costs are going up quite a bit. Please understand that, we are being forced to do this and that this is out of our hands. We apologize to our foreign

costumers but it look like it will be a while before we can sell anything to you again. I for once in my life have changed my mind on my mistakes. I have made, I thought having panted protection was the way to go it is not what a waste of money. But being the originator will work from now. This is what he meant when he said he wanted to clean the swamp that is NOT what that meant to the rest of the country. Throwing flack all over the place to get what you want is not how it's done. This is just CORPORATE GREED. I really hope that ELMER FUDD ends up in handcuff after this.

Grennett,Tex, 101 ??'s

As most of you know the Grennett truck is doing well for the LDP market.
So to help all of you out with the most asked questions here are some answers.
What do I do with the copper lock rings?
Here is how it goes stock race ring, bearing, race spacer, bearing, stock race ring, copper lock ring, stock lock nut.
Can I use stacked bushings on my Grennett truck?
No stacking of bushings you can use glued bushings or use melted bushing.
The stock bushing suck!
Bennett stock bushing are not bad they take some time to break-in.
Should I use the bushing that come with your stock Grennett?
Try out your Grennett with the stock set up first this will give you a good idea on how the truck works.
I got some extra washers and do not know what they work with?
The two grade eight 1" washers work just like the stock washers one on top and one on the bottom.
I add in a extra star lock ring to the top of the kingpin head this helps to lock in the washers to the bushings.
The large plastic washer is used with?
The large plastic washer is for shorter bushing.
So how tight do I need to tighten down the kingpin?
Tighter is better in inverted trucks.
You just mailed me the tune up kit and the delrin pivot cup is not fitting right.
Most stamped out trucks have different sized holes this means.
You will need to sand the out side of the cup to make it fit tight with the hole.
My stock pivot will not fit the delrin pivot cup?
You might have to sand and polish your pivot.
What is the grease for?
The griffin grease is for the pivot and the cup.
The lithium grease is for the axles and the bearing covers.
What kind of bearing lubricant do you use?
Triflow in the dropper.
So why is there nylon tape on the king pin and why?
After seeing what people will put on there king pins
to keep the bushing from shredding I found that nylon
tape works better and it comes off easy.
I hope this will help.

Delrin Grennett Trucks Race Pivot Cup’s

This a quick explanation on how to clean up your Bennett pivot up, to use the Delrin race pivot cups. If this is a new Bennett truck’s please clean off all the uneven parts with a fine flat file, round file for the rounded edges, use emery cloth to sand down, then to polish pivot using fine steel wool and use a good polish compound at the end after you test the fit. The same will go for used pivots but you will need you to sandless. The whole is 7/16” The Griffin grease is used to stop the sand and rocks from getting into your pivots sill work without it but the part will last a lot longer with the grease and because it will not break down the plastic and stop it from heating up. This Delrin pivot cup started the Mofifacition craze almost 15 years ago and It’s back. These will last for years for the money. This type of plastic will not ware out like Rubber, polyurethane or other materials. How available for $21.95 for two delrin pivot cups and Griffin Grease. SilverFishlongboarding.com Track-wings lowrider trucks Victor story

These are trucks that I got the idea from a good friend that has been in the biz for awhile. He just happens to have a few good ideas and he inspired me to find the parts to put these together. Old Man Victor calls them TrackWings and I called them LowRiders after one night when I asked him what they wear. So all together they are called TrackWing-Lowriders. After Victors suggestion and his thoughts on them. I've seen Victor ride miles on these over the years and the trucks work just the way you would think. Less height on the board more speed and less height on the ground. All I can say is taking a bunch of left over truck parts and making a good riding truck that does not cost that much but will do the work is great to me. Of course it helps that I do have a lot of leftover parts to do this with. Thank you Old Man Victor for the inspiration on the trucks and the idea's.Description: https://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/images/smilies/eusa_clap.gif
ThanksDescription: https://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gifMan I thought that I would get at least some questions on the bearing spacers or how I made the Gullwing hangers fit the base plates or something. Or the plastic piece in the middle of the king pin. To bad and it cost almost nothing to build them up about $22.00 in the parts and my time and newish bushings. I will tell you once and tell you again that the trucks from the 90's are some of the best trucks for longboards because you get the old school holes and new school holes in the base plates. Can't get that in some trucks of today to bad for them. This is the reason that I am open minded about all skateboard things. You never know one day you might find a diamond in that pile of stuff and need it for something different. Yes I still like Randals and still use them on all my decks. I just wanted something different in what I ride every once and a while.
Thanks,
GriffinSk8Yes you could consider them street trucks of the day. The
original hangers are 130's so you could say that's what they are. In the mid 90's the trucker's B52’s where not very popular with the street people and where thought of as trash. For a few people that wanted just a good long board truck this one was to small for most of the boards that I was riding at the time. Tracker was not doing well I think and that's why the B-52 came out. There's no name on the truck that says Tracker on it just the ? mark and in that time street ruled the skateboard. Darts came a little later. Yes all of you are right on the Gullwings as a hangers 80's and yes that's what the rings looked like back then. The grind king pin set up was the second thought on the king pin. I wanted to use Gullwing dead bolts king pins but I only had one, so I did have the grind king set up from I think 2000's was the year. All the parts are used and still good to use on a new deck. Still lot's of life to go down a hill. Sometimes old school things can still be used on new styles of boards or the times.
Thanks,
GriffinSk

King pin size’s and what fit’s
After talking with a costumer, I have realized something keeps coming up. The difference in size’s to make a mass market there are several different size’s made out there on king pin bolts. Your stander grade 8 bolt can vary in size most of them are a thousand under or over depending on who made them or not. When it comes to precision trucks the kingpins are over sized unless there using aircraft bolts on the trucks. Custom made precision trucks make their own kingpins and make them over sized because there is less chances of breakage and fit. So why don’t you make an over sized washer? First of all it is a waste of money and that just is going to confuse the mass amount of costumers even more than you will understand. I designed these sleeved washers for cast trucks in the beginning and yes then precision trucks came out with their own washers to supply there trucks. But yes you can fit our washer on the top threaded part on precision truck kingpins only, that’s because the threads are a thousand smaller on the overall sized custom made kingpins. What I didn’t want is to have a bunch of different sized washer out there that will not fit and slop around like they did in the past.  So remember that precision washer fit cast trucks and aircraft bolts only and that most precision trucks will only fit on the top washer.

Array Sleeved Washer System,How Too's

How too's on Array sleeved washers.  How to make things work right when it comes to setting up your trucks with  high end after market bushing and Array sleeved washers and other products.

What sleeved washers should I used with what set up? What setup works for down hill and free ride?

First thing first, you need to look at what hardness bushing you can use with the setup you want. All this vary's on your weight and skill level.  Check the durometer or color chart that almost every manufacture has one on there after market high end bushings. (Note with the Sleeved washers, if you like lighter softer bushings you should go up a hardness if you heaver rider you will go down a hardness.)

Durometer scale goes, 78A,80A,83A,85A,86A,87A,88A,90A,91A,93A,94A,98A,or a color chart.

Style bushing are
Cone,Tall cone, Tall fat cone,Barrel,Tall barrel,Short barrel,Stemuler,Eliminator, Kag's,Chubby, Hour glass,

Of course there are more style but this will cover most of the after market bushing out there.
(Taking suggestions from places like Longboard skateboard shop or chat room can help or any expert you can get a better idea of what you like.)  But for the most part it's a personal thing on what work and how fair you can push the envelope, when it comes to after market bushing with sleeved washers.

(A thing to stick with is that the size's has't to fit the original size of the bushing to washer height's with all stock trucks to make the truck work right and turn the way you want.)

Sometime's this will take sometime to figure out and make it work the best for the style of skating you are going with.  Downhill skateboarding and free ride, sleeved barrel washer road side in the front and back, cupped washer board side both front and back truck. Bushing you can used are barrel all around or Eliminators for more downhill board side front and back. The bushing hardness will very on your style of skating  and your riding style and your weight and skill's

(What I go by is hard 90A bushing board side and medium 88A road side rear truck, front truck medium 86A board side medium soft 83A road side, Of course this is different with every rider's skill level and style of riding.

Now with so many stock taller bushing on trucks you can change up more way's you want to use you sleeved washers.  Modifying trucks or changing to a longer king pins and (stacking washer like the sleeved barrel with the cupped washer for DH with a Eliminator bushing is fine, (harder duro is more stable softer duro quicker rebound.) You can do this on the road side or board side, also with barrel bushings or bubble barrel bushing. If you are looking to change the height of a set up you can also use a  Array flat washer as a (Step up washer on a barrel sleeved washer or a cupped washer or a cone sleeved washer.) You can stack the cone sleeved washer with a cupped washer as well.

Cone sleeved washer are more for a carver style or turner front truck of a quicker snappier turn.
This can be more used in cursing and ,Push pump, Slalom, LDP race style trucks and even more.
Star washer works with all the style washers give added pressure between the lock nut and the top sleeved washer or Flat or Cupped or Cone or Stepped. The added pressure works in two ways. First, lock nuts are a one use system and ware out over time. Two, the extra pressure keep's everything working much better this way. To those that have said that the barrel washer can't keep a strait line in a slide has not tried this with the stair washer in place.

Yes, My Name Is (Thane)

For sometime people have been asking if my name is a nickname or if I was born with it?
I posted a tread on this on the fish for the same reason, so that people know that this is my real name and you can call me by it.  My Mom came up with the name when she was in a antique store and heard a mom call for her sun named (Thane).  My Mom like the name so much that she named me (Thane).  Having a different name and being a different kid growing up it has made who I am.

0'G Truck Development.

Here it is, This is the finale design of the 0'G truck.
After hearing how people feel on (you tube),and finding out how much hate there is for this truck I though that I would tell you how I feel about that, there is nothing you can do to stop change!!
You people that are giving me a hard time on Youtube think I care about how you feel well there is nothing that make me more happier to tell you that your time will pass and you will have to live with the gilt  of  what you have done was rude and deceitful. I on the other hand will keep pushing the market and make thing that are great and get know for them.
This is the 0'G truck baseplate and there is a lot of different designs that I have come
up with to make it more of a universal designed truck system.
I have design a riser system that is based on a (old school) riser from the 80's call the cellblock.
After looking over what the cellblock was for back then and what it could for today.
Sometimes change is good to make the skateboards truck work better for the skater.

So A Lot Of You Have Forgotten Where Skateboards Came From

Not a lot of kids understand that the rollerskate and the skateboard came form the same roots. With there being a big growth in the industry in the last five years.  This boom has made people forget how hard it has been in the past to buy  long skateboard thing in the old days. When every skateboard shop in america funnily have excepted  longboards to the market after so long. Back in the old days you had to find old rollerskates to use as replacement parts just because there was no skateboard shops that carried longboard anything back then, so we where stuck finding rollerskate at thrift store that had the hardware you needed.  After seeing how the late 90's where like and now to see what it is like in the 2013 year, thing have really turned around for this market that was deemed, that would never make it from the other skateboard market people.  To see that we have tuned around after years of struggling.  The skateboard came from the rollerskate and there is a lot that we can say (thank you) for now that longboards are excepted into the main stream market.

Maintenance Tips On Your Skateboard Trucks

As fair as most of you know from (You Tube) and other forum that people are giving suggestions on how to maintaining there skateboard trucks.  Some of these ideas are just to old fashioned for the kind of money we are spending on our set ups these days and need more protection for them to last. Things that just need to stop as fair as using soap, wax, 3/1 oil, bees wax, WD/40 need to stop.  I have seen it on pivot cups king pins and other parts and it is not helping your trucks work better, just gumming it up more with extra gunk it will not need. After the soap wear out or wax it gets filled with dust and dirt and starts to weir the parts or break it down. Any waxed based materiel is no good to, it heats up to quickly and just will wear out parts to quickly.  Plastic and urethane's and rubbers are made from oil and there not to be mixed with other oil based materials like 3/1 oil, WD/40, same with bees wax, wax and soap.  There is a lot of materiel out there that have been used in commercial uses and household uses that are much better.   Another thing don't use paint thinner acetone or any kind of paint strippers for cleaning bearings. For cleaning bearing use distilled alcohol or orange simple green cleaner for cleaning bearing. So what materials are made to help that will work the best and lasts?  Teflon is the best along with silicone grease, lithium grease, Triflow, and Teflon tape.  All these are used with plastic parts and are the best protection for your trucks. The greases are made to get up to high temperatures and will help to protect parts.  The Teflon tape is made to cover threads on long king pins and keep bushing from getting extra wear and grinding.   These simple steps will help with making your trucks work well and last.  KEEP your skateboard clean every few weeks if you are riding all the times and this will help.  Greases will stop the dust and dirt from getting inside moving parts and is the best protection against wear.  It is not hard just takes some time but will keep your trucks tuned and will last longer.

Why Is It That People Don't Care??

In my car in PB yesterday and weighting at a light and I am not driving, so just looking around at what is going on in the streets of PB. When I see two kid looking down on the street both have a street skateboard in there hand's and look like they lost something and are getting in the way of other people walking.  Next thing I see is the kid is holding a brand new skateboard with a hanger in one hand and the rest of the complete board in the other hand.  He must of just gotten this for Christmas and already the board has lost it king pin nut and it is unridable.  To see this happen to a young kid that just gotten this skateboard is sad and unsafe to see how skate shops and mall stores just do not care on how a skateboard is assembled right is just not good or safe in anyway.  This poor kid is now going to have to tell mom and dad that his brand new skateboard has fell apart in the few days that he has owned it and what is mom and dad going to do about that?  The other thing that is not good about seeing these boys is that neither one of them had a helmet on.  It goes to show that safety is just still not a factor on the streets of California and this could have been a bad accident that could of happened anywhere on the street. Safety first when it comes to letting your young one go out and skate and think safe to. People in cars are just not as safe as they were 25 years ago they have  cell phone and GPS,TV's, along with eating and drinking at the wheel that will distract them from driving.  No one here in CA really follows the road rules anymore and that to me is scary, to think that  kids are going to have to really learn how to avoid pedestrians, handicapped people, motorcycles, bikes, other skateboards, cars, buses and trucks.  It just goes to show how much people just don't care these day's. There are people that just want to make there money and run don't care what happens to the people after they get there products. Costumer support, you get stuck on the phone and you never get to talk to anyone just keep talking to a automated recording on the other side. What happened to caring about the costumer and people in general have we just got to distracted with life and work and money to no care about anything?

Almost The End Of 2012 And The Start Of 2013

Man this year has gone by fast and it has been fun and hard all at the same time.  Learned some lessons and have lost some good and bad friend along the year. There will be some more big changes coming along this new year that will be a big deal for us here at Griffin Skateboards.  First thing is the website is going to change a lot and bigger ave new's are going to happen. looking back on this last year and I have to say thanks you to all of you that have come to support us with what we are doing. This last year we have started to see what we have done out there in the skateboard market and seen a lot of change happen some was vary good and some we could do with out. But after looking back I can say this has been so fun and I am loving what I have been doing and can't what to show what is happening for 2013.  Going to have some fun in the next few weeks with six different projects all happen to all have different levels to them of work and skill.  As fair as board building going to build a free ride board that will turn some heads and make a mark in the long board riding history.   Now that Axcelspring is becoming know in the industry as the most state of the art built in system in the industry and that is time to show what is can do.  All I can say is the future is unwritten and we can chose what we want to have happen with it.  I will keep pushing forwards in the extreme designs that will become know as what need to happen to the modern skateboard in the years to follow.  There is a lot of people that don't want us to progress in the market  because they are making the kind of money that they think is what they should make buy doing thing the old fashioned way and being stuck in the 19th century well it is 2013 and thing need to change even more.  So look out for what is to come.
